Geezeo Review

A number of financial planning and "get out of debt" websites have been springing up over the past year or so, because consumers are showing that they are looking for more online web applications and other tools for managing their finances. What makes Geezeo even more exciting in terms of providing financial management assistance is the fact that Geezeo is a community focused web application based on Web 2.0 technologies that allows users not only to track their own finances but also communicate with a large community of like minded people, as well as financial experts who can give advice on financial planning, paring down debt, building a savings, investing, and other related topics.

When you first create an account on Geezeo, you are asked about personal information, including information about your bank accounts, loan accounts, credit accounts and investments. Managing all of these things on your own can become hectic really quickly, but the Geezeo service is designed to combine them all under one roof, allowing you to manage them all quickly and easily, with the bonus of access to a large community of like minded consumers who are also setting goals for their finances, and financial planning experts who can give advice on investment vehicles, credit counseling services and other assistance.

Within fifteen minutes of signing up, you can accomplish a great deal. You can add credit card accounts, bank accounts, loan accounts and investment accounts. You can see all of your transactions and expenses over the past thirty days and can categorize each transaction through tagging. You can set monthly goals for entertainment expenses, transportation expenses, food expenses and other types of expenses, and then you can see if you are staying within your budget or if you have overshot your budget.

The social networking aspect of the Geezeo website allows you to create a personal profile, create goals, make confessions, join groups and speak out in communities. You can make friends on Geezeo by facilitating conversations with other like minded individuals who are also paring down their debt, putting away savings and trying to manage their finances and budget more efficiently. In a short amount of time, the Geezeo website allows you to get control over your finances in a small amount of time and with little effort.

Your transaction information in your accounts will automatically update so that you can get a snapshot of your finances every time you log in to your Geezeo account. If you make good use of your debit and credit cards, and primarily use plastic to make purchases, then having an account at Geezeo will allow you to tie all your finances together, keeping track of loans, credit card payments, purchases and investments all together for an accurate picture of where you stand financially, and even more importantly, where you are going.

The other thing that sets Geezeo apart from other financial planning web applications is the fact that it offers a much friendlier interface, with plenty of community features worth taking advantage of.
