Money and love are complicated, as you might well know. On the money side, add to that 29% APR on one or more credit cards to a level of complication that includes another word: Expensive.
This is what happens when either individuals or couples get credit cards that they cannot pay down to a zero balance every month. The things just have this habit of building (thanks to your purchases) and as has happened to millions throughout the country, running higher and higher interest charges at the will of the companies issuing the cards.
As with all relationships, you have to ask yourself: “Am I better or worse off if I were to let this card go?”
What a moment it can be when you say, “I’m better off without a credit card.” In many respects, you gain your freedom. But in others, it means facing the world single, alone and naked without plastic. Are you up for it? To find out, think through the moments when you would need a credit card the most:
- Emergencies – Whether it’s a medical, dental, home or car repair expense, you will need access to extra cash from time to time. This is a place and time for payday loans . They’'re are easy, fast ways of getting personal loans, and they seemed to be tailored for such occasions.
- Quick travel – Taking trips that you cannot pay cash for is a bad idea if you’re trying to minimize debt. But if an illness in the family, for example, calls you out of town at a moment’s notice, immediate cash is needed. Use a payday loan to cover the cost.
- Cover bills that are due before payday – Usually it comes from early-in-the-month emergencies, the type that throw budgets off base. Either suffer the consequences, or get those bills paid with personal loans from cash advance (payday loan).
In case you are thinking, “what about every day purchases?,” there are two answers to that question. One is that you should only make such purchases when you have the cash available. The other is to then use your ATM debit card – to all the world, it looks just the same as a credit card.
